Written for Nicholas Mossa’s graduate conducting recital, Invitations takes its cue from the latter—spirited, yet sincere, with an animating energy that coaxes the ensemble into motion. Angular interjections cut against broader, singing lines, creating propulsive dialogues with shimmery subtexts across all voices. Invitations does as its title promises. All that’s left is to accept.
